Great for family fun and close to the visitor moorings is The Sandhard, a small and little-known beach hidden behind Yarmouth Harbour, next to the coastal path. The quickest way to get there is to take a harbour taxi across the water and walk along the jetty to a lovely little spot with low sand dunes and a gently shelving beach looking directly out onto the Solent.<\/p>
A stroll by the busy harbour quayside provides lots to see with ferries docking, fishing vessels, sailing and motorboats coming and going all day long. Or walk along the impressive Grade 2 Listed Yarmouth Pier dating from 1876 and enjoy wonderful views of the harbour and West Wight coastline.<\/p>
Flowing into Yarmouth Harbour is the Western Yar Estuary with its abundant wildlife and gorgeous riverside walks and cycling paths. In Yarmouth and the beautiful West Wight beyond, there are lots of attractions and activities for visitors to enjoy.<\/p>
